Persistence distributions in a conserved lattice gas with absorbing states
نویسنده
چکیده
Extensive simulations are performed to study the persistence behavior of a conserved lattice gas model exhibiting an absorbing phase transition from an active phase into an inactive phase. Both the global and the local persistence exponents are determined in two and higher dimensions. The local persistence exponent obeys a scaling relation involving the order parameter exponent of the absorbing phase transition. Furthermore we observe that the global persistence exponent exceeds its local counterpart in all dimensions in contrast to the known persistence behavior in reversible phase transitions. One-Dimensional Lattice Gas Models with Infinitely Many Absorbing States
We determined, by numerical simulations, the critical behavior one-dimensional systems with infinitely many absorbing states. These models are modified versions of the conserved lattice gas model in which two adjacent active particles instead of just one can jump to their neighboring sites. The models studied here are examples of systems with many absorbing states and order parameter coupled to...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of a three-layered radiant porous heat exchanger including lattice Boltzmann simulation of fluid flow
This paper deals with the hydrodynamic and thermal analysis of a new type of porous heat exchanger (PHE). This system operates based on energy conversion between gas enthalpy and thermal radiation. The proposed PHE has one high temperature (HT) and two heat recovery (HR1 and HR2) sections. In HT section, the enthalpy of flowing high temperature gas flow that is converted to thermal radiation em...
متن کاملLattice Boltzmann modeling of two component gas diffusion in solid oxide fuel cell
In recent years, the need for high efficiency and low emission power generation systems has made much attention to the use of fuel cell technology. The solid oxide fuel cells due to their high operating temperature (800 ℃ -1000 ℃) are suitable for power generation systems.Two-component gas flow (H2 and H2O) in the porous media of solid oxide fuel cell’s anode have been modeled via lattice Boltz...
متن کاملFixed-energy sandpiles belong generically to directed percolation.
Fixed-energy sandpiles with stochastic update rules are known to exhibit a nonequilibrium phase transition from an active phase into infinitely many absorbing states. Examples include the conserved Manna model, the conserved lattice gas, and the conserved threshold transfer process. It is believed that the transitions in these models belong to an autonomous universality class of nonequilibrium ...
متن کاملScaling Relations in Absorbing Phase Transitions with a Conserved Field in One Dimension
Validity of two scaling relations β = ν‖θ and z = ν‖/ν⊥ widely known in absorbing phase transitions is studied for the conserved lattice gas (CLG) model and the conserved threshold transfer process CTTP) both in one dimension. For the CLG model, it is found that both relations hold when the critical exponents calculated from the allsample average density of active particles are considered. For ...
